3 Consecutive days starting October 22nd-24th from 10-5pm. 18 Hour Workshop.
Tuition: $360
Instructor: Steven Brownlee
In this class, students will get the opportunity to transform flat sheets of metal into chunky hollow rings. We will show you the steps needed to create the hollow rings with basic outside shapes such as an oval or circle. Students will gain experience with soldering multiple pieces with large seams as well as tricks to make it go smoother. Hollow rings are lighter and can be the step between creating jewelry and boxes. Students will practice sawing and filling as well as learn about bits for finishing with the flex shaft.
Prerequisite: Fabrication and Soldering Level 1 or previous experience.
As we follow the CDC's recommended guidelines to keep everyone safe, we'll be requiring students, instructors, and members to wear a mask at all times. We’ll also be limiting the number of students per class to maintain a safe distance as well as disinfecting all tools and surfaces before and after classes. And we encourage students to wash their hands before coming in but -most importantly - stay at home if you are feeling sick.
